Well-done to Lauren Jackson, 8N, for winning second place in this year’s FutureChef Regional Finals at Newcastle College.
Lauren produced a two course main meal of Haggis, Tatties and Neeps served with a Mushroom and Red Onion Cream Sauce, followed by Lemon Posset and fresh Raspberries all within ninety minutes!
She was as cool as a cucumber as she worked in the professional kitchen. Lauren came second in her group and was congratulated by the judges for the excellent choice of ingredients, flavour combinations and the stunning presentation of the food.
