On the 30th January Year 8 Pupils from Chantry and Newminster enjoyed a sunny day out at Baltic, Gateshead as part of their Bronze Arts Award studies.
They ‘participated as an audience’ and explored the colourful works of Jesse Wine and Graeme Durant.
Two Year 7 classes, 7S and 7M have been learning about the work of the Suffragettes and local heroine Emily Davison at her burial place in St Mary’s Church, Morpeth.
Penni Blythe-Jones, who organised the “Emily Inspires!” campaign last year and Morpeth Town Councillor Andrew Tebbutt were the guest speakers who helped to make the past come alive.

Year 5 have recently visited Cragside as part of their Victorians topic in History. Pupils were treated to workshops in butter making, Victorian toys and clothes.
All workshops were hands on experiences with pupils making butter in Lord Armstrong’s kitchen, playing with toys in the Billiard Room and having the opportunity to dress up as Victorian lords and ladies!
