Nearly 80 students from Chantry entered this year’s Rotary Club writing competition; students wrote creatively on the theme of ‘Reflection’.
The judges of the competition were so impressed with the wide range of imaginative responses they received and head judge, Simon Foley, said: “What has really impressed us is the quality of writing. All the individuals who took part must be congratulated. Reading the entries was interesting, entertaining and exciting by turn. The range and variety of responses is remarkable and very encouraging.”

On Thursday, all of the students who took part in the competition were awarded certificates. We are very proud to say that Chantry students won the first and second prizes in both age groups for the regional competitions:
The first prize in the Junior Section went to Jack and the second to Charlie.
The first prize in the Intermediate Section went to Sienna and the second prize to Robert.
A big well done to all of the students who took part and good luck in the next stage of the competition to our winners!
