We have begun the process to find our Year 8 team for this excellent competition which takes place at South East Northumberland Law Courts on Saturday 7th March 2015.
There will be an assembly by our last year’s regional winners, now at King Edward VI High School, who will explain what is involved and share the experience they had as well as giving us tips.
Later, our two faithful magistrates will lead lessons with each class on our court system and help us to prepare the case. Then, the candidates who wish to be considered, will receive a booklet where they can learn about the roles involved, the work to be done and assess which part might suit their skills and personality as well as preparing a short response to a case they will be given.
Auditions will follow then thirteen children will be selected. A visit to the court has been arranged then the rehearsals will begin. This competition is such a valuable experience and is open to all of Year 8.
