This year’s NE regional heat of the national competition was a closely fought and particularly challenging contest.

Although Yarm – an independent school – won decisively, each of the next four teams was separated by just one point and nearly every round went to a tie breaker involving a large number of teams.

The rounds on Amphibians, Clocks, Clothing, Escapes, Houses, Knights, Little People, Snakes and Snow & Ice all sounded quite promising – but the questions were tough!

Despite not making the top ten, our teams performed magnificently and enjoyed themselves immensely.

We have high hopes of our Y6 team, who were not at all phased by being two years younger than most of the other competitors and are already planning some strategies for success in next year’s contest!
