The first round of the French Spelling Bee took place this week with pupils in 7C/H learning a bank of 50 words off by heart and spell as many as they could using the French alphabet in 1 minute.

Congratulations to Piper Clarke, Elliot Tolman, Ethan Monaghan, Emma Lawson, Josh Williams, Grace Tomlin, Lucas Jones and Steph Shek who all go through the second round in February.

A special mention to Grace and Josh who both succeeded in spelling nine words correctly – this is the highest ever score in the first round! Très bien
