On Sunday 12th March, Newcastle Falcons faced Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park. Exeter hadn’t been beaten at Sandy Park all season. However, Newcastle Falcons had beaten them at home in their remarkable season that they are having.

It was 17-7 to the Falcons at half time thanks to tries from Cooper and Hammersley.

But Exeter fought back with a try for Simmonds and a penalty from Simmonds again left the score 17-17. There was late drama as Simmonds converted a penalty in the dying seconds to give Exeter the win. They now face Bath in the final after they won against struggling Northampton 13-12.
