5B & 5C have been taking part in an enterprise activity led by Business Ambassador, Carole Richards. Mrs Finney from Northumberland County Council and Mrs Toward (parent) from HMRC supported the session.

Students worked in teams of 6 to design and manufacture products and agreed their roles within each company group. Students experienced being a Sales Executive, General Manager, Buyer, Production Worker, Accountant or Quality Controller.

All students developed their leadership, decision-making, negotiating, teamwork and listening skills during the session as well as learning about the world of work and employability.

5H & 5I will get the chance to take part in this activity later this year. All year groups have enterprise activities planned throughout the year so please keep checking our newsletter for the dates.
Conall Fearon from 5B “I’ve really enjoyed taking part in the enterprise activity this morning. I was the Buyer for my company and I had to supply all of the materials for making the mobiles”.

Mia Anderson from 5C “ I was the General Manager for my group and I enjoyed telling people what to do in my company. This is my first enterprise activity at Chantry and I’m really looking forward to the next one!”
