Public Health England have produced a letter for schools which explains when a person requires a coronavirus test and what the symptoms of coronavirus are.
The intention of the letter is to help prevent children being taken out of school unnecessarily and answer some of the questions parents may have around testing.
Please find linked a plan for the reopening of Chantry Middle school in September 2020. The risk assessment and other key guidance documents are linked within this plan.
We are looking forward to having our new Year 4’s join Chantry in September. You may not be able to come and spend time in school for our usual transition days so we have put together some transition information for you in the form of videos and letters, which can be found below.
We are sharing all information with first and primary schools and will continue to add all information on our website.
We very much look forward to meeting the children soon.

It’s become a tradition that we put together a staff video in our end of year assembly, and this year is no different, so here is this year’s video from the staff at Chantry. We hope you all have a fantastic summer and want to say good luck to our Year 8s moving on to high school in September.
We would like to signpost all parents and carers to online resources to support children’s mental health and wellbeing before they return to school in September.
