Chantry Mini Police really enjoyed travelling in the police riot van as they visited Bedlington Police Station to find out more about their new role. They were in for a shock when Mr Johnson was arrested by Police Officers Dave & Ed, put in handcuffs and locked in the police cell! They were told lots of interesting facts about what would happen if this were for real! They were shown around the custody suite before meeting a range of people who work in the station and keep us safe in our communities. They would like to thank Police Officers Dave & Ed for organising the morning and are looking forward to their next deployment on Saturday 17th November at the Switching On of the Christmas Lights in Morpeth Town Centre. Look out for them there!

Thank you for all the fantastic contributions for the Wansbeck Valley Food Bank. The donations were collected this afternoon by two volunteers from the organisation who thanked the students and parents for their magnificent generosity. If you would like more information about this local organisation please visit www.wansbeckvalleyfoodbank.org. They will accept donations throughout the year. Thank you once again
If your child is starting school or transferring to a different phase of education in September 2019 you need to apply for a place.
Congratulations to Joshua, Eva, Abbey, William, Anna, Oscar, Martha, Adam, Sofia & Max who have been chosen to represent Chantry as Mini Police for 2018/19. We were overwhelmed by the number of applications for these 10 positions – all children wrote very good job applications and it was very difficult to make the final decision. The children will work with CSO Dave Johnston over the next year in their new roles. We were delighted to welcome Peroni and Punch from the Mounted Police section of Northumbria Police to school today. The mini police will be on duty at the Switch On of the Morpeth Christmas Lights and will be visiting Bedlington Police Station to find out more about the work of the police.
A massive well done to Scout, Ryan, Rhys, Andrew, Kody, Lara, Matthew, Lucy, Jess & Sev who have now retired from the mini police. They have throroughly enjoyed their year in post and count the visit to the police helicopter and being on duty at the Coca Cola Truck Visit to Morpeth as amongst their highlights. CSO Johnston is very proud of you all!
The minutes from the last PTA meeting can be found here.
The date of the next meeting is Tuesday 27th November 2018 at 7pm.
