From Saturday to Saturday, March 4th to 11th, thirty-five Chantry Middle School students and five members of teaching staff went on an exciting snow-filled, action-packed adventure in the French mountains.
The resort was the beautiful Les Menuires, only three hours from the French/Swiss border and the scenery was amazing! Les Menuires produces lots of photo opportunities all year round to cherish and love forever.
We interviewed Mr Hutchinson, the teacher who led this trip. Click ‘continue reading’ for the interview.

The Holi Festival is an annual spring festival. The celebrations start on the evening of Purnima (the day of a full moon) which, in The Gregorian Calendar, falls sometime between the end of February and the middle of March. The festival is celebrated in India and Nepal and by many Hindus around the world. It is also celebrated in a smaller way in Mauritius, Fiji, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Pakistan and the Philippines.
Nicola Sturgeon, the current First Minister of Scotland, has recently announced plans for a second referendum to be held some time in the next few years. Recently a number of polls have been taken. The results of the BMG Research polls that have been published say that 39% agree with having another referendum before Brexit negotiations and 49% disagree. Currently it is looking quite close for Scotland to leave the United Kingdom, especially after the choice to leave the European Union was made in June 2016, with 55% of Scots wanting to remain in the EU. This leaves doubt about Scotland remaining in the United Kingdom if a second referendum is held.
Leicester beat Sevilla 2-0 to win 3-2 on aggregate to progress to the quarter finals of the Champions League.
