💛 More Ways to Support Children’s Mental Health this week and beyond!
Children’s Mental Health Week reminds us that emotional wellbeing matters every day, not just this week. Here are some practical, everyday tips from Barracudas to help children feel supported, seen and connected:
✨ Build a sense of belonging — ask meaningful questions like “Who made you smile today?” and celebrate small wins.
💬 Talk about feelings gently — name emotions together and show it’s okay to feel all kinds of things.
🛏️ Create supportive routines — regular sleep times, meals and relaxed family moments give security.
🏃♂️ Encourage movement — outdoor play, dancing or bike rides can lift mood and reduce stress.
📵 Balance the digital world together — set screen‑free wind‑down times and talk about online experiences.
🤝 Know when to ask for help — if worries persist, reach out to a GP or school wellbeing lead early.
Supporting wellbeing starts with being present, curious and kind — and every conversation counts. 💚
