Our annual FutureChef competition was hosted this year on the 1st October during Open Evening.

Eight students took part on the night, creating a meal suitable for two people in one hour and all under the budget of £5.00.

The meals created were of an excellent standard, comparable to that seen at
GCSE level, demonstrating outstanding skills.

After much deliberation and sampling, third place was awarded to
Megan McGuinness in 8N, 2nd place to Ronan Gascoigne in 7W and 1st place to
Lauren Jackson in 8N for her delicious and stunningly presented; Local Haggis,
Neeps and Tatties with a Mushroom and Red Onion cream sauce.

A special thank you also goes to all the parents and carers who supported the pupils,
provided ingredients and not least helped to do the washing up after the event!
