The year 5 and 6 boys football team travelled to the Northumberland CSFA 7-a-side finals at Newcastle University’s 3G pitch at Longbenton with the aim of winning to go through to the North of England Finals. Incredibly they managed to do so, managing to hold their nerve through two penalty shootouts on their way to victory. This is a fantastic achievement and the first time that cup has landed in the Chantry trophy cabinet – although the girls of 2008 were also county champions. The boys now look forward to the North of England finals later in the year.
