Safer Internet Day gets hundreds of organisations involved to help promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people. The day offers the opportunity to highlight positive uses of technology and to explore the role we all play in helping to create a better and safer online community. It calls upon young people, parents, carers, teachers, social workers, law enforcement, companies, policy makers, and wider, to join together in helping to create a better internet. Ultimately, a better internet is up to us!
The theme of this year’s event is: Play your part for a better internet. At Chantry, we are using the day to inspire a kind, respectful and inclusive internet, and help raise awareness about the issue of online hate. We are getting involved in the #shareaheart social media campaign to help inspire kindness online.
