Well done to both Chantry and Newminster Middle Schools who donated £2000 to the Great North Air Ambulance after a very successful fun run earlier in the term.
The charity was chosen after the Mayor of Morpeth, Alison Byard, visited the schools to talk to the children about her work as Mayor and why she had chosen this charity for her year in office. She has aimed to raise £5000 so she is two fifths there! Rose Akenclose & Patricia Ford from the GNAA accepted the cheque on behalf of the charity and thanked the students for their amazing hard work.
