The Danish girl is a film I have recently watched. I think that it is great because of how the scene is set in the early 1920s, and how all the actors do a fantastic job. Alicia Vikander and Eddie Redmayne are excellent in their roles. What I liked most about the movie is how it pulls you in to make you feel like you are in the movie with them all. This is one of the things I enjoyed most about the movie.
I would definitely recommend this movie to other people. It is about a man and his wife and the man decides he wants to live his life as a woman. Some very sad things happen and it is worth a watch.

On Friday 11th March 2016, Schools across Britain are celebrating British science day by doing different science experiments.
Here in Chantry all year groups are doing different experiments:
- Year 5 are going to the Centre for life to do the science of sound workshop!
- Year 6 are making bags and doing a marble workshop. They will also be having some creepy crawly visitors!
- Year 7 are going to Newcastle University for some Crime scene investigation!
- Year 8 are having some visitors such as: a civil engineer; a research chemist; a marine engineer; a mechanical engineer; and some students from the High School!
I asked some of the students and staff at Chantry if they enjoy British science day. Here are their responses:
âI like science day because there are lots of things to do and itâs a fun day.â Ellen (Year 8).
âItâs a good opportunity for the students to get a taste of different aspects of science and technology, for example year 6 are doing marble work so they will benefit a lot in future.â Mr Stoker (Technology teacher).
âI really like it because you get to try new things and last year we had the creepy crawlies in, which was really cool and itâs just really fun!â Eve (Year 8).
Overall, I think British science and technology days have been amazing. They give us an opportunity to learn more about science and technology. It is also introducing us to things we donât normally do.

Lucy: Monkey
Grace: Ellie
Lexie: Trixie

We all love our cuddly toys.

We are half way through the 6 nations and it has been very surprising! England and Wales are leading the pack while, unexpectedly, Ireland are having an awful campaign. Scotland are fourth and France are third. Italy are last at the moment. I canât wait to see the rest of the 6 nations!

Not long ago, the Murray brothers came back to the Davis cup defeating Japan in doubles like an easy warm up. The Murray brothers have returned fighting harder than ever before.
Yoshihito Nishioka and Yakutaka Ochiyama (Japan) lost the match in a 2-1 lead to the tie giving GB victory!! The whole nation celebrated when they won and Birminghamâs tennis court erupted with cheering!
The next day Andy Murray was very tired but had a Davis cup singles match against Kei Nishikori (Japan again) and surprised everyone by a tense, close match but of course smashing his way through it and winning for the team.
Thereâs a new Davis cup so a new chance for the Murray’s to shine.
Thatâs why they are back!

Today we are celebrating BBC School News Report dayâs 10th anniversary. Today at Chantry we have been doing the most amazing reports and videos. From politics to jokes, from asking teachers questions to diva dancing. It has been lots of fun and we have been enjoying ourselves since the very first second! We have got amazing photos of us on Twitter and we have been inspired to do this more often. We know that we would definitely do it again! It has given us a little taster of what it would be like to be in the news industry. Thank you BBC School News Report!
