The 61-21 win over Scotland at Twickenham at the weekend made England’s winning streak amount to 18 wins in a row!
The team’s success goes back to the 2015 Rugby World Cup when England beat Uruguay 60 to 3. England then went on to beat Scotland in the 2016 Six Nations and then went on to win. Next, the team went on to play and beat Australia, South Africa and Fiji in test matches.

Then came the Six Nations 2017 when England played their first game against France. England won the game 19-16 but their performance worried a lot of supporters as to what the rest of the 2017 Six Nations held for them. Their fans’ belief was rekindled as they won their next two games and then triumphed against Scotland with a 61-21 win, which made up their run of 18 wins!
England fans thank the team’s coach, Eddie Jones, for the success of the team over the last couple of years. Eddie Jones is an Australian former rugby player and now is coaching England. Eddie retired in the late ninetys to pursue a career in teaching but then found his way back into rugby. Prior to coaching England, Eddie coached Japan to victory in the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
England has one game left to play against Ireland before the 2017 Six Nations is officially over. However, England is now uncatchable, as they currently lead with 18 points and their closest opponents are Ireland and France, both with 10 points and only one game left to play. The final match of the 2017 Six Nations will commence on March 18th and then we will see if England’s winning streak can become 19!
